Lucia Quesadilla is a personal creative project that allowed me to express myself as both a children’s book illustrator and author. We all have those pet projects that we start, set aside for a while, and then return to occasionally. This story was inspired by my own experience with a very picky toddler who would only eat cheese quesadillas. Lucia Quesadilla follows the journey of Lucia, who moves beyond her daily cheese quesadilla routine to explore new foods and discover the excitement of trying something different.

While I may not have finished Lucia Quesadilla yet, the process has been a rewarding creative outlet for character development, scene design, and storytelling. One day, I hope to complete it, but for now, I’m savoring the joy of bringing this story to life.
